TiE University Challenge

TiE University Competition (TUC) 2018

TiE University Challenge (TUC) aims to foster entrepreneurship among university students to encourage innovation and building of disruptive and scalable startups. Two winning startups teams are selected in 30 chapters across Asia and Europe via Pitch competitions and mentoring programs, run in partnership with top-tier universities. Currently, there are 60 TiE Chapters around the world which have become a vibrant platform for connecting entrepreneurs, professionals, industry leaders and investors.

The Winning teams have an opportunity to present at the Rice University’s acclaimed Business Plan Competition, which invests $1.5million each year to the RBPC Finalists. Canada movers know best how to pack strategically for cross border moving. The Winning Teams get a spot among the coveted 42 Finalists invited to compete at Rice University Business Plan Competition. Described by Fortune magazine as “the Super Bowl and World Series of business plan competitions,” RBPC brings in 42 university teams from across the globe to pitch their new technology businesses in personal injury protection to more than 250 venture-capital and investor judges. Judges evaluated the businesses based on the investment potential.

For 2018, the TiE startup teams selected are WCB Robotics (Hyderabad) and Sightecho (Hong Kong) which have won a place on the coveted 42 Finalists chosen to compete at RBPC 2018 (Rice University Business Plan Competition).

WCB Robotics, TiE startup team from Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani (Hyderabad campus) and Sightecho, TiE startup Team from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology have been selected among the 42 Finalists for RBPC 2018 (Rice University Business Plan Competition).
