How do TiE Chapters assist Startups?

TiE Chapters help entrepreneurs in many different ways.
Here’s a Glimpse of TiE Programs & Events that are assisting startups today.
TiE ScaleUp Accelerator
(Boston)

TiE Boston’s “sector agnostic” accelerator, TiE ScaleUp was designed to help growth stage companies overcome common obstacles and barriers to scale. The program supports Massachusetts-based startups that are in need of the next stage of knowledge, mentoring, connections and resources, to successfully prepare for scale and their next capital raise. Participation in the five-month accelerator is free for admitted companies and TiE Boston does not take any equity. Their next cohort launches on October 18th.

Pitch Perfect Series
(Silicon Valley)

For startups working on their first round of funding, TiE Silicon Valley has a new Program “Pitch Perfect” clinics, where entrepreneurs benefit from instruction and workshop-style hour of preparing their pitch. TiE can also refer entrepreneurs with a developed pitch to our partners such as Draper TV and InTeahouse Venture Capital, for real funding opportunities. The program is led by Naeem Zafar, a faculty member at UC Berkeley, and long-standing charter member at TiE SV.

TiE Startup Open Mic Nights
(New York)

A monthly event, TiE New York hosts this event in partnership with Wework. It is an exciting night of networking and pitching, not your regular meet & greet event. One does not even have to be a TiE member.. you just need to be a startup and/or investor with the passion to give your elevator pitch for 90 seconds in front of a group of angel investors, venture capitalists, startup-focused service based providers, mentors, and a large community of other successful entrepreneurs.
